last Friday was fair.
But when you added
positive revisions
from the two prior months,
the numbers were decent,
The coverage on TV
left a lot to be desired:
The liberal-biased stations
ignored the good news
from prior month revisions.
I can understand that --
few people other than
an economist would look
at prior month revisions.
The Trump lapdogs
on Fox News TV
were bragging
... and bragging
... and bragging
about the 'Trump
economic boom' !
What Trump
economic boom?
Real GDP growth
in Trump's first six months
averaged only 2.7%,
which is not a boom,
even when
compared with
Obama's pitiful 2.2%
average growth
( from after the
last recession
ended in mid-2009,
through 2016 ).
Now let's compare
payroll jobs growth
for Trump's first 19 months
with Obama's last 19 months:
Trump = 3,691,000 new jobs
in his first 19 months:
from Dec. 2016 (145,437,000), to
July 2018 (149,128,000)
Obama = 3,892,000 new jobs
in his last 19 months:
from May 2015 (141,545,000), to
December 2016 (145,437,000)
Once again, I ask:
What Trump
"economic boom"?
