WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 25, 2020 – The Association of American Railroads (AAR) today reported U.S. rail traffic for the week ending November 21, 2020.
for the week ending November 21, 2020:
U.S. weekly
intermodal volume was 301,129 cargo containers and trailers, up +11.5 percent compared to the same week in 2019.
for the week ending November 14, 2020:
U.S. weekly
intermodal volume was 295,316 containers and trailers, up +12.9 percent compared to the same week in 2019.
for the week ending November 7, 2020:
"U.S. weekly
intermodal volume was 293,746 containers and trailers, up +10.3 percent
compared to 2019.
"U.S. railroads originated 1,169,874
containers and trailers in October 2020,
up +10 percent, or 105,966 units,
from the same month last year."
September 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,423,883
containers and trailers in September 2020,
up +7.1 percent, or 94,351 units,
from the same month last year."
August 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,122,954
containers and trailers in August 2020,
up +3 percent, or 33,115 units,
from the same month last year."
