Is the US economy booming ?

3.6% unemployment !

The US economy 
must be booming !

Well, let's not jump 
to any conclusions:

Household Employment 
Survey reflected 
300,000 fewer jobs
than in December 2018

April 2019 
U.S. auto sales estimated
to be down 6.1 percent.  
The worst decline
 in 8 years.


--- 
The largest crash in luxury 
( over $2 million ) home sales 
in about 9 years.


--- 
Existing home sales 
fell 13 months in a row.


--- 
March, 2019 total 
residential 
construction 
spending down 
8.4 percent 
year-over-year


-- 
1Q 2019 
U.S. manufacturing
output  was down
1.1 percent  
from prior quarter


-- 
U.S. retailers 
announced 
more than 6,000 
store closings, 
so far in 2019, 
already surpassing 
FULL YEAR  2018 !


-- 
Credit card charge-offs 
at U.S. banks 
are the highest 
in almost 7 years.


-- 
Credit card delinquencies 
are at the highest level
in almost 8 years.


-- 
More than half a million 
Americans are homeless.  
Homelessness in New York City, 
Los Angeles and San Francisco,

is the worst in over 70 years.
