This ECONOMIC LOGIC
newsletter blog,
since 2008, is a free blog,
mainly used for charts,
supplementing my bi-monthly
ECONOMIC LOGIC newsletter,
which is for paid subscribers.
This plan could change ...
but in Spring 2020,
I plan to stop publishing
a newsletter
every other month,
every other month,
and put all the content
here on the EL Blog.
And that's good news.
Because features such as the
Stock Market Timing Indicators,
would be updated every week,
rather than every two months.
And the price will be free !
I have not advertised
for new subscribers
since 1994, when I changed
the newsletter from monthly,
to bi-monthly.
I planned to put the newsletter
online when I started using
the "brand new" internet,
which turned out to be in 1996.
But existing subscribers
kept renewing every year,
some through Spring 2020,
so I just kept writing newsletters.
This year I stopped sending out
annual requests for renewals.
The last paid subscription ends
with the March - April 2020 issue.
All subscribers,
as of today,
will receive
every issue
will receive
every issue
through that one,
so you may get
a few issues for free.
so you may get
a few issues for free.
My newsletter started in 1977
with a bet -- stock newsletters
were very popular then, when
I was in Manhattan earning
my MBA.
I asserted that ANYONE
could write and sell a
a financial newsletter,
even an MBA student
that no one knew,
like me.
like me.
I named my newsletter
MARKET TIMING in 1977,
and won the bet.
That wasn't a great name
for the actual content,
so I changed the name
to ECONOMIC LOGIC
in 1981.
in 1981.
There was some confusion
in 2000, when economist
Mark Skousen published
his Austrian economics book,
named "ECONOMIC LOGIC".
I especially
want to thank
the subscribers
who renewed
every single year
since 1994.
