WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 11, 2020 – The Association of American Railroads (AAR) today reported U.S. rail traffic
for the week ending November 7, 2020.
After three months, August through October 2020, with intermodal units higher than the same months in 2019, the good news continues for the week ending November 7, 2020. I hope the retail and wholesale restocking does not turn out to be a mistake, as COVID-19 partial lockdowns start again:
"U.S. weekly intermodal (cargo containers) volume was 293,746 containers and trailers, up +10.3 percent compared to 2019.
For the first 45 weeks of 2020, U.S.
railroads reported intermodal units,
down -4.1 percent from last year"
