US Railroad container traffic in February 2021 was slightly higher than in February 2020, for a much smaller y-o-y gain than in the prior six months

up +1,8 percent, or 18,184 units,
 from the same month last year."
 

 

 January 2021:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,173,220
containers and trailers in January 2021, 
up +12.1 percent, or 126,548 units,
 from the same month last year." 
 

 December 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,334,495 
containers and trailers in December 2020, 
up +12.2 percent, or 145,126 units,
 from the same month last year."

November 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,136,695
containers and trailers in November 2020,
up +11.5 percent, or 116,915 units,
from the same month last year." 


October 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,169,874
containers and trailers in October 2020,
up +10 percent, or 105,966 units,
from the same month last year."

September 2020:
"U.S. railroads originated 1,423,883
containers and trailers in September 2020,
up +7.1 percent, or 94,351 units,
from the same month last year."

August 2020:

"U.S. railroads originated 1,122,954
containers and trailers in August 2020,
up +3 percent, or 33,115 units,
from the same month last year."
