The increase for May 2021, versus April 2021, was decent, at +0.5%.
But it was offset by a -0.6 percentage point downward revision for Apri 2021l, from a healthy +0.7% gain, versus March 2021, to only a +0.1% gain, versus March 2021.
Downward revisions are never good news for economic data, and this one was large.
