Total U.S railroad carloads:

First quarter of 2022:
   3,369,898 intermodal units, down 6.9 percent,
or 249,672 containers and trailers, from last year.

March 2022:
   1,338,138 intermodal units
(containers and trailers),
down 6.4 percent, or 92,170 units,
from the same month last year.

Week ending April 2:
Intermodal volume was 270,231 containers
and trailers, down 5.4 percent compared to 2021.
